The Psychiatric Crisis Center has been working to expand by offering bilingual/bicultural services at our Woodburn office. The Mental Health Specialist in this position will provide crisis assessments to individuals in need as well as case management, resource identification, and referral options. This position will require a motivated individual to learn about the available community services to provide mental health well-being. The individual in this position will possess a desire to be creative in matching individuals to available services while educating the community about the various services we provide at the Crisis Center. This position provides services to monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals; therefore, fluent bilingual Spanish/English skills are required.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Crisis Clinician 2: Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups; provides crisis assessment and intervention services and related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is to provide assessment and treatment services; crisis intervention, and treatment services, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses and/or to develop and implement specific services in the community.
Crisis Clinician 1: Plans and carries out recreational, social and skills training activities; performs case management and counseling functions with Adults in Custody (AIC); facilitates counseling and/or skills training groups; performs related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is case management and counseling, without responsibility for developing and implementing specific programs in the community.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED Crisis Clinician 2 and 1: Works under the supervision of a supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Crisis Clinician 2 and 1: Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. Crisis Clinician 2 may act as Clinical Supervisor designee when needed. May assist in the supervision of practicum students and/or volunteers.
Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following
Counseling to Crisis Clients: Provide counseling by telephone or in-person to individuals and/or their families or concerned others. Intervene with both children and adults. Presenting problems covering the full range of personal needs and include thoughts/plans or violence toward others, and major psychiatric illness. Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. This work is done at two different locations each day (at the Salem Hospital Emergency Dept. and at PCC), so driving is required.
Assessment of Mental Status: Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization.
Planning Development: Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary commitment based on dangerousness and ability to care for self.
Community Coordination: Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies in order to make referrals appropriately. See that clients gain access to the services they need, and do follow-up work as needed, to make certain that client's needs are being met.

<li>Advocacy for Client's Rights: Provide advocacy for client rights, ethical consideration, needs for service and least restrictive care-intervention.</li>
<li>Requests for information: Respond to requests for information regarding clients not currently in the CSS, requiring a thorough knowledge of laws governing the release of confidential information.</li>
<li>Attend monthly PCC team meeting.</li>

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; OR second year graduate students waivered as QMHP's by the Oregon Health Authority.</li>
<li>Crisis Clinician 2 Only: In addition to the educational requirements above, the Crisis Clinician 2 must have at least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.</li>
PREFERENCES Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA or eligible for LCSW. Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.

Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization. Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary hospitalization based on dangerousness and ability to care for self. Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies to make referrals appropriately.</li>

<li>Coordinates with sales and marketing team for new business development and implementation. </li>
<li>Acts as liaison between the Boards of Trustees, and Professionals of the Benefit Funds with Zenith Operations Staff.</li>
<li>Facilitates client meetings, including agenda, report generation and follow-up.</li>
<li>May assist in the implementation of new clients. </li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Associates degree in business related field. </li>
<li>Five years of experience in client management, sales, or account management. </li>
<li>Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn the confident of client(s) and internal team quickly. </li>
<li>Highly developed sense of professionalism, maturity, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver high-caliber results.</li>
<li>Ability to understand complex situations and effectively resolve issues.</li>
<li>Strong decision-making and organizational skills with the ability to optimize the use of all available resources and deliver on multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical and problem resolution skills; ability to exercise independent, sound judgment.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel as necessary.</li>
<li>Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills. PowerPoint experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Prior experience in benefits, insurance, finance, or TPA environment.</li>
<li>Understanding of benefits operations and processes (health &amp; welfare and retirement), to include payment of claims, interpretation of contracts, communication of benefits, etc.</li>
