<li>Listen and extend assistance to resolve problems or concerns voiced by the guest such as price conflicts, insufficient heating, or cooling, etc. Remain calm and alert – especially in emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Plan and implement detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretion. Contact management to assist as needed but recognize when immediate action for medical, fire or police assistance is required and act accordingly.</li>
<li>Perform elementary housekeeping and maintenance tasks (i.e., provide additional linens, plunge toilet) in the absence of staff members from these departments.)</li>
<li>Assist guests in making reservations by phone or in person when Central Reservations is not a better option. Retrieve and enter TravelClick reservations and cancellations, following up with proper documentation and filing as trained.</li>

<li>Responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel. Responsible for the overall operations and appearance of the front desk.</li>
<li>Typically handles both the duties of the front desk agent and some of the duties of the accounting department.</li>
<li>Tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.</li>
<li>Always represent the hotel in a positive manner; SMILE.</li>

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Crystal Springs Resort is looking for friendly upbeat individuals who have a love for hospitality and customer service to fill the Front Desk Agent position. The Front Desk Agent will insure a positive first impression for our internal and external guests and assist guests with any requests in a courteous, friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Checking guests into the hotel</li>
<li>Handling check-out and any billing questions they may have</li>
<li>Posting charges</li>
<li>Troubleshooting any guest requests and concerns</li>
<li>Reservations, including entering bookings into the computer, monitoring availability and taking reservation calls as needed</li>
<li>Be responsible for all cash transactions and maintain a personal cash bank</li>
<li>Keep abreast of all information regarding the resort and the surrounding area</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Excellent in-person communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Excellent telephone and communication skills</li>
<li>Outgoing, friendly and organized</li>
<li>Professional appearance and attitude</li>
<li>Able to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently</li>
<li>Overnight availability is a plus</li>
<li>Hotel front desk experience is preferred</li>
