JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Charge Nurse and CNA Supervisor, the Certified Nurse Aide will assume direct care for residents in the Care Center in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality. The position requires self-motivation, creativity, and capabilities to function in a semi-autonomous role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
 
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

<li>Assumes direct resident care responsibilities as assigned by the Charge Nurse, to include, but not be limited to AM, PM care, backrubs, assisting with ambulation, assisting with dietary needs, dressing and undressing residents, and changing bed linen.</li>
<li>Carries out Special Orders or treatments as directed by the Charge Nurse, to include, but not be limited to special skincare, collecting specimens, intake and output measurements and documentation, vital signs, compresses, and enemas.</li>
