Through the holistic integration of its Pillars of Opportunity, Sasha Bruce is able to provide safe homes, life skills, and workforce development to meet the unique needs of homeless youth. For almost 50 years, Sasha Bruce has implemented innovative interventions aimed at ending youth homelessness in the DC region. Today, the programs in DC and Prince George’s County, MD, reach over 6,500 runaway, homeless, abused, and neglected youth, and their families.

Program Summary: 
The Drop-In Center Case Manager collaborates with other Drop-In Center and Outreach staff to serve as the entry point into SBY residential programs and other housing opportunities within the DC continuum of youth service care. The Case Manager also collaborates with other staff to provide life skills trainings and other socio-cultural activities in an effort to support their successful transition to self-sufficiency.  
The intent and purpose of the Drop In Center is to provide a safe environment for homeless and at-risk youth to meet their basic human needs; access one-on-one counseling and case management to begin to stabilize their lives; connect with housing, employment and educational resources; and increase their support network - all within a trauma-informed environment that provides a consistent atmosphere of acceptance and hope. It serves all youth up to age 24 with no other eligibility requirements or time limits on how frequently they can utilize services. The Youth Drop In Center is open for services Monday – Friday from 8 am to 6 pm with weekend programming scheduled periodically. The Center provides the following services:  
● Meals and snacks  
● Access to laundry facilities  
● Access to showers and hygiene products  
● Access to clothing  
● Access to telephone, the ability to receive telephone messages and mail service  
● Identification services (Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, and etc.)

What Will I Do?
<ul>
<li>You will work collaboratively with the treatment team members to ensure the treatment plan is meeting the youth's needs.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will provide 1:1 support and interventions when required including behavior modification techniques and crisis interventions a strategies as outlined in the treatment plan.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will support caregivers in their efforts to stabilize the child by providing information, guidance, and modeling of intervention techniques.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will assist in the management of behavioral escalation by way of using de-escalation and behavior manamement techniques taught by the master's clinician and/or supervisor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will work in traditional as well as non-traditional settings (i.e., home, school, day care, community, etc.) to meet the needs of the child.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will effectively document daily progress and relay information to team members, supervisors, and other staff as required.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You will participate in individual and/or group supervision as required.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Hours of Work Schedule and hours are determined by client needs. Services are provided in area schools, client homes, and community settings as indicated.
What Will I Get? $18-$20/hour
