Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our medical team (22 Anesthesiologists). The successful candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia to all patients with a focus on infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical and medical procedures. The Pediatric Anesthesiologist will ensure the safety and comfort of young patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Assessment:

<li>Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of all patients with a focus on pediatric patients.</li>
</ul>
Review medical histories, allergies, and previous anesthesia experiences.
Discuss anesthesia plans with patients' families and address any concerns.
Anesthesia Administration:

<li>Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to each patient with a focus on pediatric patients.</li>
</ul>
Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia safely and effectively.
Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed during procedures.
Intraoperative Care:

<li>Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care.</li>
</ul>
Manage and treat any anesthesia-related complications that may arise during surgery.
Postoperative Care:
<ul>
<li>Oversee the recovery of patients from anesthesia.</li>
</ul>
Provide pain management and postoperative care instructions.
Monitor patients in the recovery room and address any immediate postoperative issues.
Emergency Response:
<ul>
<li>Respond promptly to any anesthesia-related emergencies.</li>
</ul>
Implement life-saving measures and stabilize patients as necessary.
Education and Training:

<li>Educate patients' families about anesthesia procedures and postoperative care.</li>
</ul>
Participate in the training and mentoring of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Documentation:

Qualifications:

Our Gastroenterology section is seeking BE/BC general Gastroenterologists as part of a planned expansion.  Our section serves a state-of-the-art 357-bed tertiary referral center opened in July 2023 with opportunities for outreach into surrounding communities. The facility features an outpatient endoscopy unit and side by side clinic with 8 endoscopy suites and a motility lab, as well as two dedicated endoscopy rooms in the main hospital for inpatient procedures. An IM hospitalist service manages all GI admissions and GI functions as a consultative service. 11 advanced practice providers&nbsp;support outpatient visits and the inpatient GI consultation service including weekends.  This position can accommodate subspecialty interests (IBD, liver disease, esophageal diseases etc.) and we have a goal of minimum 1:8 call schedule. ERCP and EUS experience not required.  &nbsp;

<li>Full scope of Nephrology practice</li>

<li>Clinical Nephrology, hypertension and post-transplant care</li>
<li>Hospital practice includes ICU and acute dialysis services as well as apheresis</li>

<ul>
<li>Dialysis population of around 300 patients with 2 units in Duluth (18 &amp; 22 stations) and 7 satellite locations (some have home dialysis); includes home hemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement, CAPD and CCPD</li>
<li>&nbsp;Physicians serve as Medical Director at the dialysis locations</li>
<li>Inpatient care at SMDC Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center, a combined 500 bed tertiary care hospital complex</li>
<li>Nephrology is a consultative service; hospitalists are the admitting service.&nbsp; </li>
<li>Team Members include RNs, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners</li>
<li>Essentia Health East market includes almost 1,000 physicians and advance practice clinicians with all medical and surgical specialties represented</li>
<li>Outreach consultative services at 10 regional clinic locations</li>
<li>EPIC electronic medicals records in clinic and hospital</li>

Position Overview
Essentia Health is excited to invite a board-certified or board-eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to become a valued member of our outstanding Heart &amp; Vascular team in the beautiful city of Duluth, Minnesota. This full-time opportunity is within a forward-thinking cardiology group dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Practice Specifics
<ul>
<li>Become part of a well-established, multidisciplinary Heart &amp; Vascular team that includes interventional and non-invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons, advanced practitioners, and a dedicated nursing and technical staff.</li>
<li>Work in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with cutting-edge imaging technologies and a fully equipped cardiovascular lab.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Engage with a diverse patient population, treating a wide range of cardiac conditions.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborate in a team-oriented environment that values innovation, professional growth, and quality outcomes.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience a balanced schedule that promotes excellent work-life integration while working in both ambulatory and hospital outpatient settings, with acute care cardiology rotations supporting the cardiology consult service.</li>

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular conditions.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac tests, including echocardiography, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, CCT, and CMR.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues to create personalized treatment plans for patients.</li>
<li>Participate in teaching and mentorship opportunities with residents and medical students, shaping the next generation of physicians.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Engage in quality improvement initiatives and have the option to contribute to clinical research if desired.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
·Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular disease.&nbsp; 
·Expertise in non-invasive imaging modalities.&nbsp; 
·cardiac CT would be desired and CMRI reading would be plus
·Eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota.&nbsp; 
·A strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence.

Compensation

<li>Primarily outpatient practice, Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m.-4:30p.m.;&nbsp;Some outreach possible, including telehealth outreach</li>
<li>You would be joining a team of 1 Pediatric and 3 Adult Endocrinologists, 9 APC’s and a robust support team including CDCES RNs &amp; RDs</li>
<li>Patients are admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center a 344-bed tertiary care hospital; Level II Pediatric Trauma Center or Essentia Health-Duluth, a 165-bed hospital – both located on the same connected campus.</li>
<li>Patient volume/day: 12-14</li>
<li>Great support from Endocrinology and Pediatrics!</li>
<li>Call: shared with Pediatric Endocrinologist partner and coverage provided for time away.&nbsp; Inpatient diabetic care covered by full-spectrum Hospitalists, Pediatric Intensivists, NP’s, PA’s.</li>
