Your Role as a Special Education Paraprofessional:
<ul>
<li>Provide Classroom Support - Assist students with academic tasks, social interactions, adaption daily living skills, and emotional regulation to create a structured, supportive learning environment.</li>
<li>Monitor &amp; Track Student Progress - Observe student behavior, document notes, and collaborate with the team to adjust support strategies to help students meet their goals.</li>
<li>Support Self-Help Skills - Assist students with toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene to foster independence and confidence in daily activities.</li>
<li>Ensure a Safe Learning Environment - Intervene when necessary, using de-escalation techniques, and calming strategies.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Teachers &amp; Families - Work closely with educators, therapists, BCBAs, and parents to provide consistent, individualized support.</li>

Your Role as a Special Education Teacher:
<ul>
<li>IEP Development &amp; Instruction - Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to students' individual needs and goals.</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Reporting - Submit required documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and evaluation reports, in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Collaboration &amp; Communication - Work with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and staff to provide appropriate services and support student progress.</li>
<li>Classroom Management &amp; Behavior Support - Maintain an organized and structured classroom while implementing behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques.</li>
<li>Assessment &amp; Progress Monitoring - Conduct assessments, track student progress, and document behavior data to support evaluations and behavior plans.</li>
<li>Safety &amp; Compliance - Ensure safety, adhere to policies (including confidentiality and PPE use), and assist students with self-care as needed.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in special education, education, or a related field from an accredited institution. </li>
<li>Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). </li>
<li>Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff. </li>
<li>Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. </li>
<li>Passion for Special Education, demonstrated by patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed. </li>
</ul>
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:

<li>Valid PA teaching certification, such as a Private Academic Certificate or a Level I or II Pennsylvania Instructional Special Education Certification K-12 (sponsorship available).</li>
