Job Title: 53' Reefer Trailer Mechanic Location: Medley, FL Company: Panther &amp; Co. Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Weekdays/Weekends Salary: $20 to $24 depending on experience.
Job Description:
Panther &amp; Co. is seeking a skilled and experienced 53' Reefer Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration units on semi-trailers, as well as performing general trailer repairs to ensure DOT compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration units (Thermo King, Carrier, etc.) on 53’ reefer trailers</li>
<li>Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems</li>
<li>Wheel seal replacement</li>
<li>Breaks both drums and disc</li>
<li>Ensure trailers meet DOT safety standards</li>
<li>Maintain accurate service records and reports</li>
<li>Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks in a timely manner</li>
<li>Respond to emergency service calls as needed</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years’ experience as a reefer or trailer mechanic</li>
<li>Knowledge of Thermo King, Carrier, or similar refrigeration systems</li>
<li>Understanding of trailer suspension, braking, and lighting systems</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)</li>
<li>Own set of tools</li>
<li>Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs</li>
