United Construction &amp; Forestry is looking for a Service Technician. This individual will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial construction and forestry equipment.
 
What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li>Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments</li>
<li>Recondition and repair all engines, transmission, tractors and industrial equipment assigned by the shop supervisor</li>
<li>Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed</li>
<li>Keep records required to establish cost of parts and service charges to the customer</li>
<li>Handle customer problems both objectively and tactfully</li>
<li>Assist in directing work of helpers or on the job trainees and provide instructions as required</li>
<li>Maintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous duties associated with the job</li>
<li>Develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines</li>
<li>Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Product Support Manager, Service Manager, Service Writer or Shop Foreman</li>
<li>Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments</li>
<li>Report any additional work required on equipment to the Service Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customer</li>
<li>Participate in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager</li>

Essential Functions include:

<li>Properly disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble tank internally and externally, appurtenances that include but are not limited to: vents, valves, clean-out caps, clamps, loading/unloading lines, hoses and other equipment that is to be cleaned as per normal tank cleaning procedure</li>
<li>Properly operate atmospheric testing equipment and understand the use and care of rescue equipment used in confined space rescue.</li>
<li>Through company provided literature and training, familiarize self with, and comply with, all existing Federal, State, Local and Company requirements, rules, and regulations that pertain to personal safety in the performance of duties.</li>
<li>To maintain an environment of cleanliness and safety within the wash facility and must complete all paperwork as required by the Company.</li>
