</ul>
What you’ll do on a typical day:
<ul>
<li>Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on trailing equipment, in compliance with the manufacturers, DOT, and company schedules</li>
<li>Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under parts of trailers</li>
<li>Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems</li>
<li>Abide by DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other rules and regulations</li>
<li>Maintain proficiency in equipment and technologies that enhance our productivity</li>
<li>Move trailers throughout the property, and operate a hostler in all types of weather</li>
<li>Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity</li>
<li>Operate specialized tooling and vehicles</li>
<li>Ensure the work area is always clean, safe, and organized</li>
<li>Interact with operations and shop management</li>
</ul>
Trailer Mechanics are required to:
<ul>
<li>Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more than 75 lbs.</li>
<li>Safely walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather</li>
<li>Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel</li>
<li>Walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery</li>

What the Technician role looks like:
<ul>
<li>Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer</li>
<li>Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles</li>
<li>Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required</li>
<li>Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures</li>
<li>Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles</li>
<li>Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance</li>
<li>Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles</li>
<li>Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary</li>
<li>Perform other duties as required</li>
</ul>
What our ideal candidate looks like:
<ul>
<li>At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school</li>
<li>Must have valid Driver’s License</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)</li>
<li>Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly</li>
<li>Must provide own hand tools &amp; toolbox.</li>
</ul>
Work Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.</li>
<li>Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.</li>
<li>Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants</li>
<li>Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maitenance </li>
<li>Ability to move and position heavy objects</li>
<li>Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles</li>
<li>Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.</li>
