Position Overview:
This is a supervisory position in an Inspection Center overseeing a team carrying out daily operations within a Carvana Inspection Center.. The Reconditioning Manager oversees all aspects of the vehicle reconditioning process and directs at least five leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and high associate engagement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

<li>Inspeccionar y probar vehículos en busca de daños y registrar los hallazgos para poder realizar las reparaciones necesarias.</li>
<li>Examinar el vehículo y analizar con el asesor de servicio y/o el cliente (de ser necesario), inspeccionar y diagnosticar el alcance del daño o el mal funcionamiento.</li>
<li>Realizar prueba de carretera con el cliente cuando sea necesario según el escenario.</li>
<li>Entrar el vehículo en la nave y lo eleva con gato hidráulico.</li>
<li>Diagnosticar la causa del mal funcionamiento y realizar el trabajo especificado en la orden de reparación con eficiencia y de acuerdo con los estándares del concesionario y / o fábrica.</li>
<li>Mantener comunicación constante y efectiva con el asesor de servicio para informarle si el vehículo necesita trabajo adicional o si las reparaciones no se completarán en el marco de tiempo establecido, para que el cliente pueda estar informado.</li>
<li>Desarmar partes e inspeccionar las piezas en busca de desgaste.</li>
<li>Realizar reparaciones tales como: motor, transmisión o diferencial, tren delantero y/o trasero, aire acondicionado, dirección, sistema de enfriamiento, componentes eléctricos, reparación de cablería, sistema de carga y encendido, mantenimiento, frenos y alineamiento, entre otros.</li>
<li>Instalar y remover accesorios.</li>
<li>Realizar estimado de la reparación requerida y de trabajos adicionales a través de los sistemas establecidos por la compañía.</li>
<li>Documentar detalladamente la orden de trabajo cumpliendo con los requerimientos establecidos: respondiendo qué, cuándo, cómo y dónde.</li>
<li>Realizar inspección de multipuntos, incluyendo aquellas relacionadas a la seguridad del funcionamiento del vehículo.</li>
<li>Realizar las tareas de control de calidad.</li>
<li>Cumplir con todos los requisitos relacionados a reclamaciones de garantía.</li>
<li>Completar solicitudes de asistencia técnica en los casos que sea necesario.</li>
<li>Inspeccionar y probar vehículos nuevos y usados para garantizar que todas las funciones operen correctamente (PDI &amp; PDU).</li>
<li>Imprimir y proporcionar toda la documentación que soporte la reparación, tales como: hoja de código de diagnóstico, alineamiento, reprogramaciones, sistema de carga, tomar y enviar fotos de ser requeridas, entre otros.</li>
<li>Completar las certificaciones de la marca y/o cursos o adiestramientos requeridos por la compañía en el tiempo establecido.</li>
<li>Asegurar que el estado del taller, incluida la limpieza, la seguridad y el equipo cumplen con los estándares. Informa al jefe de taller (“Shop Foreman”) sobre cualquier problema o situación. </li>
<li>Entender y mantenerse al tanto del cumplimiento de las regulaciones federales, estatales y locales que afectan las operaciones de servicio, como la eliminación de desechos peligrosos, OSHA, etc.</li>
<li>Trabajar junto a un técnico calificado asignado para aprender cómo realizar reparaciones y mantenimiento de vehículos de calidad. </li>
<li>Supervisar y formar aprendices o técnicos principiantes.</li>

Requisitos:

We are in search of entry to master level equipment diesel technicians/mechanic to join our team. Candidate must be able to work on various makes and models of diesel trucks and buses. Requirements:
 
 Observes and listens to trucks and/or buses in operation to determine malfunctions.
 Complete PMs and troubleshooting issues on all operating systems on trucks and buses

 Removes and replaces parts for repair in allotted time frame
 Performs accurate service data entry on all services performed
 Operates mobile equipment as needed

 Maintains parts inventory and orders supplies as needed
 May make service calls at other locations or emergency roadside repairs as needed
Communicates/directs co-workers through hand signals and two-way radio
 Performs general clean-up of work areas

Minimum Education and Experience:
 
 High School Diploma or Equivalent GED required
 Minimum 2 years Heavy Automotive Equipment Maintenance Experience
 Trade School or related mechanical / technical certification preferred
 Commercial Driver License (CDL) and safe driving record is a strong plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 Knowledge of repair and maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, power transmissions, brakes, drivelines and other automotive systems to perform repair work
 Ability to read and write in English
