Position Overview

As a member of Securian Financial’s Enterprise Technology User Services group this position will drive Modern Workplace technology adoption at Securian Financial.  This includes leading the technology adoption platform for identified enterprise communication and collaboration technologies.  Primary technologies will be Microsoft 365 focused but will not be limited to that.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead the Adoption platform for identified enterprise communication and collaboration technologies, including technology identification, strategic direction, and metrics.
  • Lead or partner on change strategies for tool implementation applying the Technology Change and Adoption Framework
  • Drive business need to technology capability assessments
  • Promote adoption metrics and outcomes to leadership
  • Influence stakeholder behavior changes to capitalize on new technology benefits
  • Educate project stakeholders on technology change and adoption best practices
  • Review and assess technology enhancements for user impacts and support business case development for applications, features, and integrations
  • Own and execute ongoing awareness campaigns to drive continuous adoption growth and optimize how users utilize in scope technology
  • Own the measurement strategy to illustrate business benefit against Adoption activities
  • Measure and assess key adoption metrics to optimize tool usage and ensure consistent adoption
  • Lead and drive strategy for technology communities including Technology Adoption Champions, Team Owners, and other user forum/super user communities as appropriate to ensure the voice of customer and continuous feedback.
  • Participant or lead in governance committees including M365 User Experience Committee and M365 Operational Governance Committee
  • Partner and oversee adoption and change efforts with Securian Financial Network support team to ensure alignment on technology, user impacts, adoption and resources


  • 5 years Project management experience
  • 5 years Technology Change Management experience
  • Advanced professional communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced training document and material creation skillset
  • Successful track record in a four-year degree program or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 product knowledge (Sharepoint Online, Onedrive, Teams, OneNote, Planner, Forms, Purview etc)
  • Experience developing and leading champion and/or change user groups

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prosci Change Management certification
  • Experience developing and leading champion and/or change user groups
  • Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist Certification

    Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. Associates get the benefit of working both virtually and in our offices. If you’re in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you’ll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn’t feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option. 

    **This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement.**

    Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Ability to utilize telephone for 2-4 hours per day
  • Ability to perform grasping tasks 2-4 hours per day
