We’re looking for a full-time, staff Tax Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Philadelphia, PA. This position will serve as a bridge between the corporate tax department and the internal and external stakeholders across the Day & Zimmermann S Corp landscape. This role is responsible for the processing and filing of taxes for the S Corp.  This role will require an understanding of the impact of the corporation's tax positions on the S Corp's personal tax liabilities.

As the Tax Manager, here’s the work you’ll do:
  • Preparation of income tax projections for the S Corp and S Corp members of Day & Zimmermann.  Ensure timely processing and filing of quarterly estimated tax payments and the final income tax returns for the S Corp. Keeps abreast of current tax developments, both federal and state. 
  • Establishes and maintains a line of communication with the S Corp members as well as the outside advisors handling the transactions including providing analysis and information and answering questions.
  • Functions as the source for gathering and providing tax information to and from the S Corp required to prepare member income tax returns.    
  • Responds to individual inquiries and/or tax notices from federal or state agencies and convey findings to S Corp.     
  • Coordinates, directs, and manages S Corp federal and state income tax audits along with state sales and use tax audits.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Extensive individual income tax knowledge of federal and state tax returns for S Corp & other pass-through entities, and multistate income/franchise/sales tax expertise (including filing composite state income tax returns).
  • Strong workpaper techniques and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, research and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Experience with tax software such as OneSource and CCH Tax Research
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting.
  • 5-8 years of experience heavy in tax.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.
