Located just south of Stickney Point on 41. Locally owned & operated. Fin & Tonic is opening in October - we are training NOW! 

Full-time hourly position with benefits. AGGRESSIVE BONUS PLAN. Total comp package expected $60K-$75K+ (hourly wages, OT and bonuses) depending on experience.

The Sous Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef assisting in daily operations of all culinary aspects, in unity with FOH management to maintain the highest levels of quality, safety, staff performance and guest experience! Our Sous Chefs are an integral part of ensuring all team members feel rewarded and proud of kitchen creations, and all guests are receiving a 5-star experience! You’ll be fully involved in the research and design of Daily Specials, creating prep sheets and processes for each station and ensuring all prep and plating adheres to recipe sheets and F&T standards.

Requirements:

  • Food Service Manager Certified
  • Strong Leadership and Organizational Skills
  • Strong knife skills
  • Must have understanding of meat, poultry, fish fabrication as well as baking, pastries and fresh pasta skills.
  • Menu and daily Specials planning in conjunction with the Executive Chef
  • Other skills and knowledge as standard for Kitchen Management

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, and organize all orders for kitchen, ensuring all items are labeled, dated, and rotated properly
  • Assist and understand all stations in the kitchen prior to and during service period
  • Delegate prep items to associates as necessary for timing and according to F&T standards and recipe sheets
  • Other responsibilities as standard for maintaining BOH Operations adhering to F&T and health standards
