New Mexico Wellness Treatment Center is an inpatient residential treatment center that provides a safe, nurturing environment for the treatment of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

We offer innovative, individualized treatment in detox and residential treatment. Our compassionate, expert treatment is designed to help our patients take back control of their life.

We are hiring for the following positions:

Residential Assistants

(Pay Range $18.00-20.00 an hour)


  • Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients as assigned.
  • Carry out all aspects of patient care and other assignments as directed by the Nurse or provider.
  • Perform ongoing observation of the patients and milieu to ensure active treatment is provided and patients are participating in programming.
  • Respond appropriately and timely to patient requests.
  • Report changes in patient’s condition or behavior to the RN, or provider on call including agitation, high-risk behaviors, changes in vital signs, and eating and sleeping behaviors.
  • Finish all nightly cleaning tasks
  • Nightly bed checks
  • Assistance with administering medications
  • Monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure

Experience Needed

  • EMT or CNA Preferred but not required.
  • Behavioral Health Experience Preferred
  • Comfortable with taking Vitals
  • If in recovery, must have a minimum of one year sobriety

CPSW- Certified Peer Support Worker

(Pay Range $18.00-22.00 an hour)

  • Maintains strict confidentiality on all client records and program activities.
  • Provides services and assistance to clients experiencing substance abuse and mental health issues and consults with the primary therapist and, or counselor.
  • Provides life skills education and prevention individually and/or to community.
  • Follows-up with the Service Plan provided by therapists, counselors, and/or staff.
  • May provide client substance abuse case management, tracking, and follow-up services.
  • Coordinates appointments for clients with appropriate services, arranges clinic or BH follow-up /home /offsite visits necessary to address the client’s needs.
  • Documents all client services in the Electronic Health Record, follow thru by using the scheduling package when making appointments. Schedule events in the calendar.
  • Assists clients in the development of interpersonal, functional and coping skills, including adaptation to home, school and work environments, and the development of social and daily living skills.
  • Seeks resources, makes referrals and promotes linkages to community and outside client support services.
  • Participates in weekly clinical meetings and staffing.
  • Provides transportation for clients as needed and completes proper documentations.
  • Contributes to the overall quality by developing and coordinating work teams and by reviewing, recommending and implementing improved policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma; AND, experience working with individuals 18+ years of age with beginning substance abuse issues; depression, anxiety and or trauma issues.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
  • Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW)

Medical Assistant/EMT

(Pay Range $20.00-25.00 an hour


  • Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients as assigned.
  • Carry out all aspects of patient care and other assignments as directed by the Nurse or provider.
  • Perform ongoing observation of the patients and milieu to ensure active treatment is provided and patients are participating in programming.
