Location: Lancaster, PA 17601
Pay Rate: $16.52 per hour part time
Shift: Monday through Friday 7:15 AM to 2:45PM ( times may vary slightly by location)
Position Description SOS Group is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. As a PCA in our classroom setting, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to education and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities or special needs in the classroom setting.

Assist students with activities of daily living, including personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene.

Support students in developing and practicing social skills, communication, and behavioral management techniques.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and modify curriculum as needed.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on student performance and behavior.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, particularly in a classroom or educational setting, is highly desirable.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with diverse learning needs.

Ability to adapt to changing situations and effectively manage challenging behaviors.

CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
