Material Handler - Various Shifts Available

A provider of communication and response products is partnering with LC Staffing to hire a Material Handler who is self-inspired to learn and will positively contribute to the team.  You will thrive in this role if you enjoy being active and working in an open, outdoor environment. You would be counted on to accurately track materials and manage your time to meet deadlines.

Schedule:  Monday to Friday, various shifts available
Wage:  $20.00 - $23.00 hour, depending on experience

Essential Functions

• Promote and participate in a safe working environment
• Receive and verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries and process returns
• Operate forklift for loading and offloading materials as well as transfer around the campus
• Label every product and accurately stock and organize inventory
• Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
• Convey purchasing requirements and keep data on the availability of products in short supply
• Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
• Return product to stock from jobs in a timely manner
• Cycle counting
• Pull job requirements from online sources
• Track shipments and document records
• Maintain verbal and written communication with internal and external customers regarding orders
• Maintain ERP database reliability
• Maintain records retention using electronic and hardcopy filing systems
• Perform data entry, faxing, scanning, telephone conversations, and other duties as requested, clerical, and non-clerical

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, diploma or GED received (college preferred)
• Have the capability of being able to correctly enter data into computer systems as well as keep the same information correctly documented and filed on paper
• Previous experience with forklift operation, preferable
• Previous experience with material handling, preferable
