LIVE-IN SUPERINTENDENT Cherry Valley Apartments: 117 15th St., Garden City, NY We are seeking a Superintendent for our Coop Building (192 units) Responsibilities: To oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Coop. Ensuring that all building systems are functioning properly and efficiently, including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical. Performing routine inspections of the building systems. Fielding maintenance requests, making small repairs, cleaning the common areas, etc. Responding to Emergencies (24/7) Coordinating with contractors and other service providers to complete repairs or renovations. Acting as the liaison between Ownership/management and residents. Reporting safety hazards to Management in a timely manner. Qualifications: Maintenance Skills: To be well versed in basic maintenance tasks such as replacing an outlet, unclogging sinks,plumbing issues, drywall repairs and painting. Good Communicator with the board, residents and the managing agent. Be able to remain calm under pressure. Having a diplomatic approach to disputes is a must. Maintain a level of confidentiality with residents. Problem Solving Skills: Be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
