Our Ambulatory Surgery Center allows us to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate surgical care in an outpatient setting.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Surgical Technologist to support our surgeons and clinical team in delivering efficient and safe outpatient procedures. This role is essential in maintaining sterile technique, preparing the operating room, and ensuring smooth surgical workflows. The position is Monday–Friday, daytime hours only—no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Support seamless patient care by occasionally assisting at other Solstice Health clinic locations as needed.
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up sterile fields, supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Verify case setup requirements and ensure all necessary equipment and implants are available and functioning.
- Perform surgical counts (instruments, sponges, sharps) in collaboration with the RN to maintain patient safety.
- Handle specimens appropriately and ensure accurate labeling and transfer.Maintain and organize surgical instruments—clean, reprocess, and prepare them for future use.
- Ensure strict adherence to ASC safety, sterilization, and infection control standards.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to support efficient surgical care.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in an OR, ASC, or perioperative setting.
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
