About the Role:
As a Math Direct Instruction Specialistat Braintrust Tutors, youll help young learners build essential number sense and problem-solving skills through engaging, targeted instruction delivered in a school setting. Using our structured intervention materials, youll provide high-quality support that drives measurable student growth.

Schedule: Tu/W/Th, 01:00PM-04:15PM ET
Pay Rate:$150 Daily
What You Will Do:
- Provide in-person, small-group or 1:4 math tutoring to 3-5 school students during the school day or after school
- Implement Braintrusts intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelity
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance
- Collaborate with the Braintrust Operations team and school staff to support student growth
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes focus and confidence
- Follow school-site procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presence
- Use provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instruction
- Manage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activities
What You Will Have:
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field
- Active or expired teaching license
- Knowledge of math instruction that builds number sense, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills, with a scope and sequence ranging from counting to multi-digit arithmetic, including decimals and fractions.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfort navigating a school environment and collaborating with teachers and staff
- Punctuality, professionalism, and reliability for all scheduled sessions
- Passion for literacy and closing opportunity gaps
