Summary

Works closely with Engineering and Maintenance to set up, install and maintain automation and controls projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Budget control and requests for automation and controls projects
  • CAPEX control and requests
  • Electrical Trouble Shooting
  • Ability to write PLC (Allen Bradley/Siemens), FANUC robotics and HMI Programs as well as integrate between systems.
  • Project Management
  • Participate in manufacturing cell layout and design
  • Manage Specialized contract maintenance
  • Automation and Controls Spares and inventory Management
  • Management (design, troubleshooting, repair) of electrical systems (Machine/Plant)
  • Management and troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment in regard to Controls/PLC/Fanuc Robotics
  • Preventative Maintenance Management on Robots
  • Generate cost save proposals related to automation
  • Implement projects to increase uptime and through put
  • Train and develop off shift support
  • Identify needs and specifications for controls-based computers and software
  • Establish a company-wide controls strategy (specifications, standards, training)
  • Support Launches and Change overs
  • Support process improvements
  • Support upgrades to equipment including controls, electrical
  • Ability to work on machines with various versions of software and vintages of hardware
  • Development and training of department members:
    1. Developing skills as necessary
    2. Providing required training
    3. Monitoring and controlling department overtime and expenditure
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience / Education

  • Agree to NETFORM Employee Handbook
  • Pass pre-employment screening (e.g., drug test, background check)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in related field (Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronics)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Maintenance Department or Controls/Automation
  • Strong background in electrical & Electronics troubleshooting
  • Previous high-volume manufacturing / automotive experience preferred
  • Fanuc Robotics
  • Allen-Bradley and Siemens Logic
  • Keyence & Cognex Camera systems
  • Laser Engraving systems
  • HMI
  • Strong Problem-Solving Ability



Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (plus occasional evenings and weekends as needed)
