Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a middle school setting in Elgin, IL, to provide specialized speech and language services on a contract basis through the current school year. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP looking to support students in a focused, part-time role within an educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
- Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records in compliance with school district and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Illinois.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with middle school-aged children in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
Position details:
- Location: Middle school in Elgin, Illinois.
- Start date: ASAP, continuing through the end of the school year.
- Schedule: One day per week, approximately 7 hours per week.
- Contract duration: Current school year.
