Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services for students in a K-12 school setting located in Howell, Michigan. This contract role runs for the current school year from August through May and involves working approximately 35 hours per week within one school building. The position requires supporting a high school caseload of up to 45 students, delivering both direct and indirect speech and language therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized speech-language therapy programs for K-12 students.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize designated IEP systems to document student progress and therapy goals.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while participating in paid team meetings and administrative duties.
- Maintain professional licensure and comply with all district and state requirements.
- Participate in scheduled supervision as required and work within the allotted caseload guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP license with credentials to practice in Michigan.
- Experience working in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage a high caseload with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with educational IEP platforms and related documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Flexibility to participate in Zoom interviews, with quick turnaround for hiring decisions.
