Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dependable Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who brings a strong understanding of community resources, including housing programs and insurance eligibility. This role plays a key part in delivering individualized care and ensuring each client receives the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral health support services to clients using a client-centered and strengths-based approach.

  • Assist clients in navigating community resources including housing, health insurance, and other social service supports.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff and community partners to develop and support individualized service plans.

  • Advocate for clients to ensure they receive equitable access to necessary services.

  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community outreach efforts as needed.

  • Support the overall wellness of clients through education, empowerment, and consistent engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QHBS) as defined by state/local guidelines.

  • Previous experience working in behavioral health, social work, or human services preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of local housing supports and public insurance programs (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, etc.).

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, community-based setting.

  • Reliable transportation is required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to cultural competency and trauma-informed care.
