Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Hair Stylist / Barber to join our vibrant salon team! This salon has been around 20 years, it is one of the largest in Boynton Beach In this role, you will deliver exceptional hair styling, barbering, and grooming services that leave clients feeling confident and refreshed. Your expertise in haircuts, color treatments, extensions, and grooming will help create a welcoming atmosphere where clients look forward to their next visit. Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, haircutting, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences.
- Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction.
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to elevate the client experience.
- Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, managing check-ins/outs, and supporting overall salon operations.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, color theory, and advanced styling methods to foster growth within the team.
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling and barbering with a strong portfolio of work.
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and retail management.
- Expertise in hair extensions, coloring techniques based on color theory, and straight razor shaving.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to upsell retail products such as hair care items, cosmetics, nail care products, and styling tools confidently.
- Skilled in retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management.
- Experience with eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care services, and hair threading is highly desirable.
