X-Ray Technologist (Travel)
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4×10 Days (12:30 PM–11:00 PM; Every 3rd Weekend)
Pay: $2,315.20/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Position Overview
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging in an acute care environment, including portable studies and emergency department imaging.
This role requires experience with EPIC charting, GE/Siemens equipment, and PACS systems. The schedule includes on-call responsibilities and every third weekend. Strict Ohio fingerprinting timelines apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams using GE and Siemens equipment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Conduct portable radiography at the bedside in acute and emergency settings.
- Operate PACS for image storage, review, and transmission.
- Document exams, patient information, and charges accurately in Epic.
- Verify patient identity and exam orders; follow all radiation safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and ED/acute-care staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and safety during imaging procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond within required timeframes.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, readiness, and safe operation.
- Follow all hospital and departmental guidelines related to infection control, safety, and compliance.
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification (required).
- Current Ohio ODH Radiologic License (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of X-ray experience (required).
- Experience with GE/Siemens, PACS, and portable radiography preferred.
- Epic charting experience required.
- On-call required; must meet all on-call requirements.
- Must work every third weekend.
- RTO must be submitted at time of profile; strict compliance deadlines apply.
- Must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting immediately after signing contract.
- Two professional references (one leadership) required.
- Locals accepted at same rate.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
