Clinical Dietitian
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $39/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Clinical Dietitian. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional assessments, developing individualized care plans, and delivering patient and family education to support optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutritional care plans for patients.
- Provide age-appropriate nutritional assessments for all patients identified at nutritional risk, including diabetes management and education per established guidelines.
- Adapt nutrition plans to meet patients' economic, social, cultural, and age-specific needs.
- Reassess patients at appropriate intervals and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide age-appropriate education to support nutritional care plans.
- Assess learning needs and readiness to learn for patients and families.
- Participate in the development and review of educational materials and departmental resources to meet the needs of the populations served.
Qualifications:
Education & Credentials (Required):
- Registered Dietitian (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) - Texas Department of Licensing
- Bachelor's Degree
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and pediatrics.
- Ability to identify nutritional deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and nutrition-related computer programs.
