Summary:
Assists with raw material staging, equipment operation, plant maintenance, and preparation of finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drops, sterilizes and operates filter presses
- Assists with loading of Raw Materials utilizing the Wilden pump from the operations floor
- Assists with processing, evaporations and other production related responsibilities as requested
- Maintains the cleanliness of the facility, equipment and containers
- Operates a forklift, highlift, and pallet truck, as needed
- Proficient in drum filling, following sterile guidelines, drum rolling and palletizing
- Checks labeling and container weight accuracy
- Follows special handling procedures and safety requirements when working with caustic, acidic and flammable chemicals
- Performs general repairs and maintenance as needed

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-5 years mechanical experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Some computer skills may be needed.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places.

1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Schedule for 2nd and 3rd shift is Monday-Thursday, four (4) ten hour days.
