Bilingual HR Business Partner (Spanish/English)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner (Spanish/English) with strong employee and union relations skills. This strategic role supports employees and leadership across the Midwest Division, driving HR initiatives that align with business goals. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, manage employee relations, oversee compliance, and play a key role in maintaining strong partnerships with our union representatives. This role will report to the VP of Mountain/Midwest States and the CHRO.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the full-cycle talent acquisition process, partnering with hiring managers
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding programs, ensuring smooth employee transitions
- Provide bilingual HR support (Spanish/English) to employees and management
- Advise on employee relations matters and manage complex investigations
- Act as a key contact for union labor relations, including grievances and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws (e.g., FMLA, CFRA, OSHA, PAGA)
- Partner with management on performance reviews, coaching, and corrective actions
- Support employee leave of absence programs and respond to benefits inquiries
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across your business units
- Support regulatory filings such as EEO-1 and ACA reporting
- Deliver or coordinate bilingual HR training and education
What You’ll Bring
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (verbal & written) – Required
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience – Required
- Experience in a unionized environment, including contract interpretation and negotiations – Required
- Strong working knowledge of HR compliance, investigations, performance management, and labor law – Required
- Ability to build trust and rapport across diverse teams and cultures
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common HRIS platforms, ADP experience is a plus
- Experience supporting both field and office employees is a plus
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
