SENIOR ENGINEER

Financial & Realty Services, LLC (FRS), a professional services firm in Calverton, MD, is recruiting for a Senior Engineer to provide services for conceptual and definitive design and engineering support to include civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, fire protection/life safety, and HVAC for the design of renovations and new constructions of leased and owned government facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and engineering management that focuses on how to design and integrate complex projects over their lifecycles.
  • Oversee and assist with design-bid tasking, schematic designs, design documents, project schedules and budget including reviewing cost estimations.
  • Provide drawings, construction and procurement specifications, calculations and cost estimates.
  • Management, administration, coordination, and development of design documents required to support construction, installation, testing, start-up, and commissioning associated with each project in accordance with the requisites of standards, requirements, and regulations.
  • Provide necessary information and data to determine the condition of facilities, buildings, structures and other real properties; ensure compliance with environmental regulations, audit facilities for energy efficiencies, and determine the optimal use of the footprint.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years minimum experience and 2 years of Federal experience supporting engineering tasks on special projects.
  • Professional engineering certification required.
  • Experience performing multiple advanced and complex tasks in the interdisciplinary field of engineering and engineering management focusing on how to design and integrate complex projects over their lifecycles.
  • Experience ensuring all concept plan documents are compliant with Design, Engineering, and Construction guidelines, regulations and other mandatory requirements.
  • Experience with the design and construction of new Sensitive Compartment Information Facilities (SCIF), and renovations of existing facilities.
