Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education teaching position is available for the uping school year in Aurora, CO. This contract role focuses on providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs to ensure they achieve their academic and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Adapt general curriculum to meet the needs of special education students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and independence
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Ability to effectively assess student needs and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Strong munication and organizational skills
