Material Handler I

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts and supplies along with maintaining records of materials/inventory.

Preferred Education:
High school diploma or GED

Qualifications & Experience:
Ability tomeet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, includingweekends.
Ability toread and understandprocedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies inEnglish.
Ability tocarry out verbal instructions and communicateverballyin English.
Ability toadhere to safetyrelated issues to include, but not limited to good housekeeping and ergonomicspractices.
May be required to have workplace organization andfollow training procedures. Including cross training and teamwork.
Repetitive nature stamina to do thework.
Attention todetail.
Safety and Quality: propensity tospeak up when and if an issue occurs, notice it and bring itup.
Ability tolearn new processes, systems and equipment.
Teamworkget along with others; work in a diverse setting; participate in getting better as ateam, work with cross functional teams, conflictresolution
Motivation grow/learn/progress to next level in skills (willingnessability to cross train)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Preferred experience in manufacturing

Physical & Mental Requirements:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of work occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
The ability to work with and/or sort small component parts
Must have good visual perception and demonstrate fine motor skills/ability
High energy level
Must be able to follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions
Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately
Must be able to observe and correct/note minute inconsistencies
Must be able to analyze material/inventory issues using independent judgment
