We primarily work remotely but have hubs in Denver and Dallas.

PositionOverview:

Apollo is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead the architecture, integration, and management of all technology platforms that enable our internal operations and customer service delivery. This roleis responsible forthe completetechnologyecosystemspanning infrastructure, applications, and service platformsand for ensuring that Apollos Professional Services (PS) and Managed Security Services (MSSP)technologiesoperateseamlessly and deliver excellence every time.



The Technical Operations Manager is bothanOperationalstrategist(70%)and a hands-onI.T.Manager(30%).Someone who understands complexsystems,drives unification across tools, and ensures every platform contributes to an efficient, reliable, and consistent customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee andmaintainall core IT systems including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, and AWS environments.
  • Manage security, performance, scalability, and integration across Apollos operational and service delivery platforms.
  • Define andmaintainarchitecture standards ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency across all systems.
  • Develop automation and integration strategies to unify disparate systems into a single, cohesive service delivery platform.
  • Own and manage all technologies that power Apollos PS and MSSP services, including:
    • Security and Service Platforms:Guardz, Stellar Cyber, Horizon3ai, Command Zero, Orca,Auvik,Cytex, Tenable,Sevco,RunZero, Blindspot (Setup and Event), Duo,Exabeam,ExabeamTOG,SentinelOne, Ping Castle, Phishing Box, Kape,SpyCloud, and V3 Security (Minerva).
  • Overhead and Enablement Tools:
    • Pager Duty, Apollo Answering System, Jira, Pluralsight,Cybrary, SendGrid, Cloud Coach, and Service Cloud.
  • Centralizingand integrating toolsets to streamline visibility, response, and analytics across service lines.
  • Managing vendor relationships, licensing, renewals, and optimization across all tools.
  • Collaborating with security, engineering, and delivery teams to align tool capabilities with operational requirements.
  • Lead end-user support, help desk operations, and device management for all Apollo personnel.
  • Work with Apollo SOC to ensure reliable and secure endpoint management, identity management, and remote support operations.
  • Maintain business continuity through robust backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies.
  • Design and implement workflows that unify data and process flow across all systems and platforms.
  • Partner with service delivery leaders to translate operational needs into platform solutions.
  • Define standards, policies, and documentation for system management, configuration, and change control.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance requirements (including CJIS, SOC 2).
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of experience managing IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and platform integration.
  • Deep hands-onexpertisein M365, Entra ID, Azure, and AWS ecosystems.
  • Proven experience managing complex environments across multiple cybersecurity and IT platforms.
  • Strong understanding of MSSP or professional services delivery operations.
  • Experience with automation, APIs, and workflow integrations (e.g., Power Automate, Service Cloud, Jira).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and technical project management capabilities.
