Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Estimator to join a custom home building team in the Bee Cave area. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, managing the bid process, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring that project budgets and timelines are clearly defined and met. This position is critical in helping deliver high-quality, fully customized homes with accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for custom residential projects
• Lead the bid process, solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals, and prepare bid packages
• Develop and manage RFPs, change orders, and contract documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients during pre-construction planning
• Maintain accurate budget tracking and forecasting throughout the pre-construction and construction phases
• Review construction drawings and specifications for completeness and consistency
• Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors
• Identify and mitigate project risks related to budget and scope changes

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in custom home construction or high-end residential building
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Buildertrend, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of cost analysis and value engineering
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
