This position is responsible for executing bookkeeping responsibilities and supporting the Chief Financial Officer to ensure organizational finances are organized, well documented, and maintained in accordance with ICADV fiscal policies. This includes but isn’t limited to: processing accounts payables and accounts receivables, maintaining financial records of the organization, gathering information for grant and organizational reporting, supporting development of budgets, and analyzing various fiscal, survey, and client data sources to demonstrate the effectiveness of ICADV programs, as well as the diverse needs of survivors by helping to inform ICADV priorities and decision making.
DUTIES
· Process accounts payables including but not limited to: reviewing incoming invoices, confirming proper approvals have been obtained, charging to appropriate GL accounts and programs, and entering data into accounting system accurately.
· Process and distribute accounts receivable invoices as needed to ensure proper GL accounts and programs are utilized.
· Conduct initial reviews of bank statements, direct deposit confirmations, deposits, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
· Process the incoming timekeeping reports, paid time off requests, travel vouchers, reimbursements, and staff related funding source documentation for accuracy and retention in accordance with fiscal policies.
· Create financial summary reports as needed and provide support to Chief Financial Officer.
· Provide administrative support to Grants/Finance Team and Subrecipient Administration Team as needed through the implementation of grant management procedures, which result in organized, complete, and accurate grant files and fiscal records.
· Provide support to the Technical Assistance (TA) Team as needed for fiscal and grant-related consulting; this will include creating supporting resources for DV providers, assisting in the resolution of any fiscal and/or grant related TA requests, and assisting with the coordination of the fiscal staff peer support meetings.
· Provide support to Chief Financial Officer in preparation for internal and external audits.
· Distribute fiscal and grant communications as needed.
· Collect and analyze data related to ICADV activities, diverse needs of survivors, subrecipient service delivery, and/or survey results, and presenting summaries and findings in a manner consumable by broad internal and external audiences.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
☒Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
☒High degree of initiative, follow through, and attention to detail is essential
☒Outstanding organizational talents, which allow for efficient workflow and effective management of many concurrent projects.
☒Excellent critical thinking skills, which allow for enhanced ability to understand and interpret complex legislation, rules, and regulations.
☒Ability to problem-solve and research needed information with challenging and diverse situations.
☒Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with special attention to detail and efficiently manage one’s time by meeting concurrent deadlines
