Senior Municipal Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to lead our engineering projects and ensure compliance with municipal regulations and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in infrastructure design and project management, contributing to the development of sustainable and efficient civil engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Design and oversee infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with municipal engineering standards and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for project planning.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and GIS for design and project visualization.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate project objectives and gather feedback.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for engineering projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex issues.
  • Prepare and present reports for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal engineering and infrastructure design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in project management and leading engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of land development, zoning, and surveying practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
