Position Overview

The Pool Monitor is responsible for overseeing pool areas to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for residents and guests. This role involves enforcing pool rules, monitoring activities, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any safety concerns or incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor pool and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with community or facility rules and safety guidelines.
  • Check resident and guest access as needed.
  • Observe pool activities and report unsafe behavior or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, furniture, and common areas.
  • Ensure pool equipment and amenities are properly organized and in good condition.
  • Respond professionally to residents and guest questions or concerns.
  • Document incidents, rule violations, or maintenance issues and notify management promptly.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool area when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous customer service or monitoring experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain attentive and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of pool safety practices is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors in heat and sun
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
