Position Overview
The Pool Monitor is responsible for overseeing pool areas to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for residents and guests. This role involves enforcing pool rules, monitoring activities, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any safety concerns or incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pool and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with community or facility rules and safety guidelines.
- Check resident and guest access as needed.
- Observe pool activities and report unsafe behavior or incidents immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, furniture, and common areas.
- Ensure pool equipment and amenities are properly organized and in good condition.
- Respond professionally to residents and guest questions or concerns.
- Document incidents, rule violations, or maintenance issues and notify management promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool area when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous customer service or monitoring experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain attentive and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of pool safety practices is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Able to work outdoors in heat and sun
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
