Job Position: Cook Part Time for High School Cafeteria in Conestoga Valley School District
Location: Lancaster, PA 17601
Pay Rate: $16.01 per hour
Shift: Monday through Friday 6:00AM to -1:00 PM
Description: Cook for High School Cafeteria. Duties include: Communicates clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing, with the administrative staff, professional and support staff, students, parents, and community. Prepares and cooks foods in quantity always mindful of the importance of good nutrition, following menus, recipes, and production records. Serves proper portions to meet nutritional/government standards. Assists in organizing food production and storage. This includes handling food in accordance with proper sanitary procedures. Maintains the kitchen, storage areas and kitchen equipment in a clean, sanitary manner. Sanitizes work areas and equipment. Plans ahead for food production and works closely with the site supervisor in ordering foods and supplies as needed.. Attends weekly food planning meetings as required and assists in planning production for cafeteria. Maintains an optimum relationship with other staff members. In the absence of the site supervisor, unlocks kitchen and starts up all units required for the day. In the absence of the site supervisor, records temperatures on appropriate logs. Starts preparation of all foods on daily lunch menu.Ensures adequate supply of food is available for servicing lunch shifts. Sets up lunch lines. Collects all leftovers at the end of the day. Determines whether to keep or throw away leftovers.Assists in calling in milk order for the next day. In the absence of the site supervisor, recounts money and signs-off on daily report. Delivers dirty items to dish room for proper sanitation. Assists with sanitizing kitchen floor, sweeping, and mopping.. De-limes equipment when needed, at least once a week. Company paid clearances
