Client Overview:
Our client is a large consumer goods manufacturer with a highly regulated lab environment that follows all safety and industry standards. The work culture is positive and collaborative, but the team focuses on producing results with consistency and accuracy. Currently, they are looking to add a Lab Compounder to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$21/hr
Position Overview:
The Lab Compounder will be responsible for operating instruments, managing inventory, maintaining a clean lab space, and entering data. The Lab Compounder is expected to be able to work with other people in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude. Attention to detail is highly important. Candidates with or pursuing a Bachelor's degree will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities of the Lab Compounder:
- The Lab Compounder will collect raw materials from the storeroom to be used in lab testing.
- Follow batch records to create products for testing.
- Conduct wet and instrumental tests on the samples created.
- Clean up the lab space as it is used, and maintain a very organized space that is a nice place for others to work.
- Ensure instruments are calibrated and operating at peak performance.
- Review lab inventory, clean and put away glassware, and follow housekeeping and safety procedures throughout the day.
- Carefully review and enter data from the lab.
Required Experience/Skills for the Lab Compounder:
- The Lab Compounder should be an organized professional with a strong attention to detail.
- Be interested in or have experience working in a lab environment.
- The Lab Compounder should be comfortable working with chemical and lab instruments.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Candidates with experience in a warehouse, production environment, or biological lab are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Lab Compounder:
- Positive attitude.
- Reliability.
- Experience working in a team.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- College coursework or a certification is accepted.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher will not be considered for the Lab Compounder role.
