Robotics Technician | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells.
- Execute repairs, including component replacement and system adjustments, to minimize production downtime.
- Assist with the installation, calibration, and setup of new robots and peripheral equipment.
- Program and adjust robot paths, speeds, and I/O logic using teach pendants and HMI.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all robotic operations adhere to established safety protocols.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering technology field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and HMI systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex robotic and automation equipment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial vision systems.
- Proficiency in robot simulation software.
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, PROFINET).
- Experience contributing to or developing preventative maintenance programs for robotic systems.
