$ 17 for training, once the driver gets past the probation the pay rate will increase by the Experience.
M-F some saturdays during peak/ Mandatory OT
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various destinations. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks and 4 door pick up. Some of these locations may be as far as Palm Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles. Time gets paid from time of departure and time returned back to the home site.
Duties:
- Drive trucks to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and inspection reports
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience driving various types of trucks (box trucks, tractor-trailers, couriers)
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment as needed
- Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems
- Knowledge of load/unload procedures for different types of cargo (refrigerated trailers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
