Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a DevOps Automation Developer – 5G Applications 3 opening for our client in Overland Park, KS.

Location: Overland Park, KS (Required Onsite)
Duration: 5 months

Duties:

Support Day 1 onboarding and Day 2 operations for telco-grade 5G cloud-native applications.
Develop and maintain automation scripts, pipelines, and workflows to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CI/CD best practices for 5G application delivery.
Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for reliability, scalability, and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in application deployments, infrastructure, and automation pipelines.
Document processes, workflows, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Skills:

Strong expertise in DevOps practices, automation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).
Solid understanding of 5G cloud-native application architecture and lifecycle management.
Experience with container platforms, preferably Red Hat OpenShift.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and microservices-based deployments.
Proficient in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and log management solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on automation.
Hands-on experience supporting cloud-native, telco-grade application deployments.
Proven track record with Red Hat OpenShift or similar container orchestration platforms.
Experience in telecom or 5G network application environments preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
