About Simply Legal

Simply Legal is a consumer-focused law firm built on clarity, speed, and results. Federally licensed to practice law, we're launching our California operations with two practice areas: Employment Law and Lemon Law, helping people navigate pivotal legal moments with confidence.

We combine clear communication with data-driven marketing and a seamless client experience. If you love building campaigns that matter, tracking real impact, and working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, this role is for you.

  • What we value: clear communication, measurable outcomes, ownership, an entrepreneurial self-starting mentality, fast iteration, and doing right by the client.
  • How we work: small, collaborative teams; weekly metrics; rapid testing; compliance-first creative for a regulated industry.

The Role

We're hiring a hands-on Marketing Manager to launch and scale our California presence from our Los Angeles office. You'll focus on building our paid acquisition engine and local search visibility, the foundation of our growth strategy, while setting up the analytics infrastructure to track what's working.

What You’ll Do:

  • Paid Acquisition & Performance
Manage Google LSAs, paid search, and retargeting campaigns. Track cost-per-lead and cost-per-client, optimize budgets toward winning channels, and scale what works.
  • Local Market Development
Build local search visibility through Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, and SEO. Launch campaigns in key California markets and establish community partnerships.
  • Analytics & Reporting (Primary Focus)

Set up tracking infrastructure (GA4, GSC, call tracking). Deliver weekly performance snapshots with clear insights and next steps.

  • Brand & Reputation
Develop compliant creative aligned with State Bar of California guidelines. Build review generation and response processes.
  • Podcasts & PR
Pitch our attorneys for podcast guest spots and media placements. Create media kits, prep talking points, and track impact.
  • Conversion Optimization
Partner with intake team to optimize landing pages and improve lead-to-client conversion rates.
  • Vendor Management
Brief and manage agencies and freelancers across SEO, PPC, content, and PR. Own channel budgets and performance.
  • Additional Opportunities (As Capacity Allows)

Support PR and podcast outreach efforts. As the market matures, there's opportunity to expand into earned media and content marketing.

What Success Looks Like (12 Months)

  • Establish baseline CAC and consistently optimize toward better unit economics
  • Achieve strong Local Pack visibility in key California markets
  • Build predictable lead pipeline from paid and local channels
  • Create performance dashboards the team relies on weekly
  • Launch high-converting landing pages for both practice areas

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in digital marketing (legal, healthcare, or regulated industries a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads/LSAs and local SEO
  • Strong analytical skills—comfortable with GA4, GSC, and call tracking tools
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to build processes from scratch
  • Experience improving CAC and scaling qualified leads
  • Solid copywriting and project management skills
  • Bonus: California market knowledge, law firm experience, bilingual (English/Spanish)

What We Offer

  • $60,000–$70,000 base salary + performance bonus
  • Benefits package + PTO
  • Professional development support
  • Ground-floor opportunity to build a market from scratch

How to Apply

Click "Apply" and include a brief note about a campaign where you reduced acquisition costs or secured meaningful PR/podcast placements. Links to relevant work (sites, dashboards, media hits) welcome.

Brands you'll manage: Simply Legal — Employment Law (CA) • Simply Legal — Lemon Law (CA)
