An opportunity is available for a qualified School Psychologist to support the needs of elementary school students in Chester, SC. This part-time position offers a dynamic role within an elementary school environment, providing timely psychological services to promote student well-being and academic success throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to address ongoing concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations
- Assist with prevention and early identification of learning and behavioral difficulties
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in school settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and school personnel
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines related to special education and student support services
