ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned.
Under general supervision, this position will:
- Monitor and maintain current network infrastructure in multiple locations.
- Responsible for Firewall Maintenance, rule reviews and code reviews in multiple locations.
- Responsible for the planning, configuration, and deployment of IT network and other infrastructure.
- Work alongside Projects, Applications, and Security teams to ensure secure and successful application and initiative implementations.
- Work closely with each of the other groups in IT to provide the best possible network, uptime and service to the Company’s business units.
- Maximize uptime for all network systems by monitoring and performing preventative maintenance.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades, patches, backup and recovery procedures, and basic troubleshooting.
- Develop documentation and diagrams that supports network engineering and operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required)
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited institution; OR
- At least five (5) years of IT experience.
- At least five (5) years of Advanced Cisco NGFW Administration and Support.
- At least three (3) years of Cloud management experience.

- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form with both non-technical users and technical IT functions to be able to describe technical procedures clearly.
- Intermediate level knowledge of networking devices, cabling, TCP/IP and OSI model.
- High degree of flexibility, adapting to changing priorities and adjunct responsibilities.
- Must be a team player and takes personal accountability. Ability to lead and collaborate with peers to accomplish department and Company goals.
- Familiarity with Cisco Network and Security Portfolio.
- Ability to learn new technologies and apply them in daily work.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Office Related:
- Job is primarily performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
HOURS / SHIFTS
- Regular business hours.
- Available for on-call rotation and responsibilities on weekends and holidays for urgent issues or emergencies during off hours, as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift, push, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently be able to bend, stoop, crouch, etc.
TRAVEL
Approximate amount of time: Minimal (under 25%); Regularly (25% - 75%);
Frequent (more than 75%).
- Minimal travel may be required to other locations.
- Approximate overnight travel is 25%.
