The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of dental practices by providing support to dentists and hygienists during patient care. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- CPR or BCLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in dental radiography.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are ready for dental procedures.
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by providing the necessary tools and support.
- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and updating treatment plans.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and general oral hygiene practices.
