Brief Job Description:

  • Position is 100% on site in St. Louis, Missouri
  • Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments
  • Follows established guidelines when completing daily tasks
  • Receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials when handling unusual, non-routine problems
  • Shipping duties typically involve the following:
    • Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
    • Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged (boxed and palletized), identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles
    • Preparing and recording of goods shipped (e.g., manifests, bills of lading).
  • Receiving duties typically involve the following:
    • Verifying the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records
    • Checking for damaged goods
    • Ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment
    • Preparing and keeping records of goods received
  • Additional tasks to include:
    • Retrieving and reshelving boxes within the warehouse
    • Loading and unloading trailers
    • Moving material via cart/pallet jack
    • Ensuring the security of delivered goods and customer information
    • Collaborating effectively with team members to coordinate workflows and meet project deadlines
    • Following all client-specific procedures and guidelines related to material handling and processes
    • Maintaining a clean and organized work area to optimize productivity and workflow efficiency


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a VA Public Trust Clearance
  • Must have a Valid Real ID driver license or current passport
  • Experience utilizing tools and operating equipment safely
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
  • Basic computer skills and data entry
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and understand the importance of detail and accuracy
  • Remain stationary/standing/walking/lifting as well as perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent judgment and use of discretion; trustworthiness with sensitive information is paramount
  • Must be able to work all shift schedules
  • Working overtime and on weekends may be required
  • Must work well with coworkers and managers
  • Must be able to monitor email account daily
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
