Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and customer-focused Jewelry Sales Associate who enjoys helping people celebrate important moments and wants to build lasting relationships with customers. Candidates should be energetic and customer-focused. The ideal candidate will have a passion for jewelry and providing exceptional customer service. You will guide customers through the jewelry-buying experience, provide product recommendations, develop client relationships, and help create an exceptional in-store experience.

Jewelry Sales Associate Responsibilities:

- Welcome and identify customer needs

- Monitor inventory to ensure product is appropriately stocked

- Enter and process customer orders

- Investigate and resolve customer complaints

- Be reliable and on time for your shift. Be flexible to jump into work, if someone else is out sick, etc.

- Dream and embrace adventure! A flexible work schedule including Saturdays is all part of the excitement. This can include standing for extended periods, ability to lift 50+ pounds and timely arrival to work.

- Assist/recommend jewelry based on customer style, needs, occasion, and budget

- Sell fine jewelry, engagement rings, bridal jewelry, fashion jewelry, watches, and Pandora Jewelry

- Learn, communicate, and provide product knowledge and information including, but not limited to, diamonds, gemstones, metals, Pandora Jewelry, and jewelry care

- Support custom jewelry consultations, special orders, repairs and other customer service needs

- Build and maintain customer relationships and encourage repeat business through follow-up and excellent service

- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and goals

- Maintain attractive displays, merchandising and a clean, organized showroom

- Meet sales goals while creating a comfortable, non-pressure shopping experience

- Work collaboratively with the Grayson Jewelers team, but confident enough to sell unassisted

Jewelry Sales Associate Skills/Qualifications:

- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or other related fields

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to build rapport with customers

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers

- Bilingual capabilities are beneficial for serving diverse customer needs, but not required

- Professional, friendly and confident personality

- Customer-service mindset with a genuine interest in helping people

- Comfortable learning about fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, watches, and Pandora Jewelry

- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle valuable merchandise responsibly

- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills

- Sales-oriented, self-motivated and dependable

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

- Cross-Selling

- Saturday availability required as part of the retail schedule

- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and displays effectively

- Understanding of retail math principles for pricing and discounts

- Familiarity with technology sales tools for enhancing the shopping experience
