Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Journeyman Pipefitters for projects located in the Glen Burnie, MD area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install and work with PVC piping, copper pipe, grooved pipe, carbon steel, and stainless steel piping
- Fit, grind, bevel, cut, lay out, and assemble various piping systems
- Work on storm drains and underground utilities
- Test piping systems for safety, leaks, and functionality
- Diagnose and repair pipe system malfunctions
- Install, modify, and repair fluid systems
- Rebuild and maintain various types of pumps
- Occasionally operate forklifts and other equipment
- Perform other tasks as needed
Responsibilities
- Previous experience in pipefitting (industrial or commercial preferred)
- Proficiency with tools and techniques related to pipe installation and repair
- Must have own tools for the trade
- Ability to read and interpret piping schematics and construction drawings
- Reliable transportation
