Occupational Therapist - School Setting (Howell, MI)
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide onsite support in a school environment located in Howell, MI. This contract position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, working with charter schools in the Detroit area. The role involves supporting approximately 44 students from the start of placement through the end of the school year (ASAP to EOSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students in a school setting
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement student-specific therapy plans
- Conduct evaluations and document student progress according to established guidelines
- Promote student participation in educational activities through therapeutic interventions
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid license as an Occupational Therapist in Michigan
- Experience working in school-based OT services preferred
- Ability to manage therapy caseload effectively while fostering positive student relationships
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to work part-time or full-time schedules within a charter school environment
