Mechanic | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Install, calibrate, and commission new production lines and machinery.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for repairs and installations.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with preventative maintenance (PM) programs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial robotics or PLCs.
  • Certification or experience in advanced diagnostic techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging).
  • Welding and fabrication skills (e.g., MIG, TIG).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
